EXCELLENT Based on 16 reviews Posted on Kindle CustomerVerified No choice but to rise. Wow! Such an amazing story and journey of trials, victories and resilience. Thanks for being vulnerable. What a blessing the book is to the generation. Thank you for letting us know that no matter how we fall, we can fall forward.Posted on NorthernGirlVerified She's Every Woman.... I met the author in college many moons ago. To read her autobiography is eye-opening, to say the least. From the ashes of adversity, she rose and continues to rise. She is indeed every woman. The storyline gently draws you in.It's sometimes ponderous but never descends to boredom. She strove to tell her truth without casting aspersion on the characters of those who did her wrong. That is highly commendable.I do hope more African women would allow us a peek into their journeys, or better still, take us by the hand and gently lead us into their past and present. A window into a soul is an adventure in itself.Looking forward to reading more of Dr. Fagite's work.Posted on miz_marykayVerified Inspirational! I loved this book! How you can avoid it and allow God to help you while going through those situations.Posted on Akinniyi OshoVerified A Compelling Story of How a Single Mum Turned Her Personal Mess into a Message of Hope ! * Eyitope Fagite has written an excellent biography designed to tell a story of her journey from misery to triumph* She has used powerful tools: storytelling, valid research, and reflective writing to deliver, pearls of wisdom and self-help advice to girls, single mums, and individuals who have experienced the emotional trauma of sexual abuse, divorce, infertility, and depression.* If you are dealing with the aftermath of divorce, and low self-esteem, This book will give you reflective tips on how to get help. This book also shares the importance of forgiveness and self-actualization. I found the author's tips on reaching out to friends and seeking advice when stuck useful. There is a section that talks about the importance of journaling-that I have tried in the past-which a result of reading this book I have restarted this daily ritual. This book also shares the importance of never giving up and having the courage to pursue your dreams* Overall, I found the book an easy to read and useful self-help book. Still, I Rise by Eyitope Fagite is not a comprehensive self-help book but the words of wisdom shared with a sincere heart by the author-will inspire and motivate you if you are going through hell-to find light in the midst of your darknessPosted on dipoVerified A must read! Great book! Fantastic life story about 3 generations of strong black women. Brilliantly written.Posted on K-A-WVerified And Still She Rose When I heard the book was out today on Amazon, I got a copy immediately via kindle. Why? I had connected with Dr Eyitope Roberts Fagite on LinkedIn just a few months ago, we spoke at length in November and her wisdom, clarity and strength shone through.I had to read this book to understand her journey. It’s beautifully written and engaging. I finished it in 1 day.She doesn’t hold back from sharing her pain, her regrets, challenges in marriage, career and life generally. She also shares her joys and successes.Only when we share our stories can we empower those experiencing similar circumstances to know that healing is possible.Sharing with such authenticity also serves as a guide so that hopefully others too will learn from our mistakes and not repeat them. She rose, with God’s help and the love of her family and friends to conquer challenges that would have left many desolate.Grit and tenacity saw her through. Weeping may endure for a nighttime, but joy comes in the morning.‘Still I Rise.’ Is a must read book! I have already recommended it to my friends especially those who went through traumatic divorces. Second chances and happiness are possible ♥️Posted on OnaolaVerified Beautiful, Challenging and Inspiring Book! This book was very captivating, I couldn’t put it down!I could identify with the scenarios, having grown up in a culture where women can sometimes be oppressed or feel oppressed. This book inspires you to know that you can rise above your past or background, no matter what it might have been.I recommend this challenging and inspiring story.
